Debra Peacock
Owner
Better known as “Debbie”, is the owner of QuyanaCARD. She was born in Nome, Alaska, but her relatives are primarily from Shishmaref, Alaska. Debbie graduated from college with a degree in accounting and moved back to Nome where she currently lives with her husband and three children, Granite, Rohn and Mesa.
Lahka Peacock
Managing Partner
Lahka is the managing partner of QuyanaCARD. He is originally from Kotzebue, Alaska and now lives in Nome with his wife Debbie and their three children. Lahka is also a partner in another financial services business called Rural Financial Services, which owns, operates and sells ATM’s throughout rural Alaska. Lahka handles all day-to-day operations of QuyanaCARD and reports each night to the owner… his wife. 🙂
Emery Booshu
Emery is originally from Gambell, Alaska but his parents David and Rena Booshu decided to move to Nome when Emery was just 3 years old. He graduated from Nome-Beltz High School and loved the sport of wrestling. Emery finished high school on the honor role and four ASAA 1A/2A/3A State Wrestling Championship titles under his belt. One of Emery’s dreams is to coach the Nome wrestling team to be one of the most dominating wrestling teams in the state along with his older brother Lonny Booshu.
Sam Hill
Sam was born and raised in Kotzebue and currently lives in Anchorage. He works for ASRC Energy Services, Inc, a subsidiary of Arctic Slope Regional Corporation. Sam is well known for his athletic pursuits which have landed him in the Alaska High School Hall of Fame. As an advisory board member for QuyanaCARD, Sam primarily provides us with insight for urban Alaska Native residents.
Noah “Anugi” Naylor
Noah or Anugi (Inupiaq name) as we call him, is our advisory board member for the Northwest Arctic Borough residents. He was born and raised in Kotzebue and currently works for the Northwest Arctic Borough as the Planning Director. Anugi provides us with special insight to the specific needs, concerns and cultural aspects specific to the Region.
Robert “Bobby” Evans
Bobby is our advisory board member for the Bering Strait Region residents. Bobby lives in Nome and operates a business called Tundra Toyo & Heating. Bobby is also a board member for Nome’s village corporation, Sitnsuak Native Corporation and the regional Native corporation, Bering Strait Native Corporation. He has traveled the Region extensively and is well known and respected throughout the area.
